Myself, in a sentence
I'm the singer of the french rock/metal band Kells : www.kellsofficial.com.
I'm a passionate and rocking girl who fell in love with tattoos a few years ago but got tattooed herself only a few months ago.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
I got only 2 for the moment and I must say that I love them both so muuuuch!
My last one, on my calf, is a lace bird, with turquoise
feathers, taking a cristal to the skies, a kind of memento for a dear lost person.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
I had been staring at tattoos for months before I decided I should get one myself. Most of the tattoos I fell in love with on the internet were inked by Olivier Glamort [CA] or Franck Crazy Gang [FR]. The distance helped me choose. So I contacted Franck and we have talked together for around 6 months before he sent me a first drawing. Then, this drawing slightly evolved along the tattoo sequences. My sleeve is the reflection of my life, illustrating my music, with the part of the song "In utero" that I wrote for my daugther. There's a skull, symbol for both rock music and death, telling that music will be part of me until my last breath, until I get buried.
I have a vintage microphone because I'm a singer and because I'm totally fond of old school elements. I also have a 7 string guitar, because my guitar player is my partner on stage and backstage, and is the father of my daughter. The flowers and the stars are there to show how poetic and romantic I might be and the blue hibiscus is a reference to surrealism, my favorite genre. Eventually, I got my daughter's name inked on my wrist.
My next tattoo
I'm gonna get tattooed by Franck Crazy Gang again next fall. It will be another huge piece, something about Alice in Wonderland, Alice in the wonder garden, with a strong relation with the notion of broken space/time, to emphasize the feeling of surrealism and dream, like in the front cover of the latest release of Kells "Anachromie". I don't want to say much more about it... You'll see!
