My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
I love all of my tattoos, but if I had to choose, I think I'd go with my first big piece on my lower stomache. Its displays a mermaid larger than "life" pulling a ship in. All of my professionally done tattoos, so far, involve a woman. I feel that in this particular piece, it's a metaphor for being a stronger woman in my life. For the things that I've gone through, I always imagined when I was little being a mermaid caught in a net and someday I would escape. When I found this picture on Deviant art, I changed a few things around and it means to me that I'm finally escaping from the net and turning my life around. Capturing those who have held me hostage my whole life.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo is of a girl playing guitar and her amp is a birdhouse. It's from a piece of art I found in a magazine in higschool. I wish I could remember what magazine and the artists name, but this was 6 years ago. I was 16 when I got my first tattoo and I did it with my beautiful cousin, Echo, also 16 at the time. She's the closest person in the world to me. The artist who did our tattoos was the same artist who covered up my aunt's tattoo of the name of a man who shouldn't be alive anymore. Echo and I had a bad past with this person when we were younger and having the artist who covered his name do our first tattoos at the same time really gave everything more meaning.
My next tattoo
I have so many ideas but I really want a tribute to my Grandpa who passed two years ago. He was one of my very best friends who I lived with most of my life and losing him was like losing a father. He had this GORGEOUS '%6 Chevy Bel-air that was going to be mine when I was old enough to drive but he had to sell it to live and that car kind of sums up our relationship in indescribeable ways. But sooner than that, due to money, I will probably get some Penguins. Teeny tiny bit in love with Penguins.
