My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
I would have to say my favorite tattoo isn't located on me anywhere. But of the neck of a dear friend. It was the first tattoo I did on another human. My daughters first name, a big piece of who I am now belongs to that tattoo. My favorite tattoo on me you ask? I would have to say is my white rabbit, and his pocket watch on my lower forearm. I look at it and remind myself time is all you have, make the most of it with what you are doing no need to get caught up in all the little things that in the end don't really matter!
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo? Well probably a bit silly...
It is my name on my back. Why would I get this you ask?
I pondered this the other day looking at my back in the mirror and a giggled escaped my lips with a thought not far behind of..." what the hell were you thinking?''. I do believe upon futher examination that I had a sever case of eighteen-itis. I got it done when I turned 18 in a passion driven mission to irritate my mother with the fact that I could now do what I want. My best friends older sister took me to go get it. Now why my name you ask? Blasted in old e across my shoulder blades? I have a unique name, I feel it is a big part of me and who I am. Rare to meet another Shaylie, I like my uniqueness and I relish in it. Still contemplating a cover up though...
My next tattoo
Will be symmetrical heraldic filigree traveling up the sides of my neck, sprouting from magnolia tulip bouquets that are cresting the top of both shoulders. Outch! I know I don't have as many as I should... Just you wait ;]
