My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
The walrus on my left thigh. Growing up my dad and I would always joke that he looked like a walrus [because he totally did]. In the midst of the Beanie Baby craze, they released a walrus named "Paul" which happened to be my father's name. He passed away from prostate cancer in 2001 and so in honor of him at the 10 year anniversary of his passing, I got a tattoo of a walrus wearing my father's very distinct glasses [from the lovely and talented Malia Reynolds of Memorial Tattoo]
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo is a little blue bird on my right shoulder. No special meaning or anything. I just liked the way they looked and wanted something super simple. Got it 3 days before my 18th birthday because I was going to be stuck in a school rehearsal on my actual birthday. My mom went with me to sign but didn't stay to watch the process.
My next tattoo
I am currently in the process of finishing two pieces. Malia Reynolds of Memorial Tattoo is two sessions away from being done with my circus sideshow sleeve on my left arm. I am also one or two sessions away from finishing a traditional owl and roses piece on my right ribcage, from the fantastic Jason Smalley of Forever Yours Tattoo Gallery. Once those are done, my hands are next, but I haven't committed to any design yet. Something traditional on my right hand. Something sideshow-esque on my left.
