Myself, in a sentence
I am a hard-working, goal-oriented, motivated, risk-taking, individualistic, and proud woman.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
My back piece is my favorite because it symbolizes my heritage. i am Tunisian-American, i am the first one in my entire family to be born in America. my family is Muslim and conservative, i am the only one with tattoos and piercings. i am also the only one who rides dirtbikes. the Tunisian Flag symbol is in the center of my tattoo. there is a mosque from the city my mother was born in. there is a waterfall from the oasis my father is from. there are also jasmine flowers representing good fortune and a peacock to represent my ability to always stand out of the crowd. there are peacocks wandering around the oasis and their vibrant feathers stand out in the desert. i like to think if myself as a vibrant, colorful, and full of life kind of girl.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
It was a nautical star on my hip. when i was 15 years old i was determined to get a tattoo and found a friend of a friend to do it in my girl's basement. i had to hide it from my parents for years but i was so proud of it. this star symbolized my independence.
My next tattoo
I plan to get a portrait of my Kinkajou and Genet on my left thigh. i bottle raised them and spent most of my free time with them. i loved them so much and when they died together in a freak accident i was heartbroken. i buried them on my land and marked their graves. i still think about them all the time.
