My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
I love all my tattoos as they are all personal and all have a story behind them, but i do have a soft spot for the japanese sleeve which was done for me by Alberto in Lisbon, I met Alberto whilst he was working for Bad Bones in Lisbon, he attended a London tattoo convention and we started talking, once he told he loved japanese work and styles i knew he had to be the one to do my sleeve. He obviously flew back to Portugal and i left the design entirely up to him, the first time i saw the piece was the day i flew out for my first 10 hour sitting and as soon as i saw it i loved it and couldnt wait to start. It took nearly 3 years and 30 hours to complete the piece but it was worth it in the end. I loved it then, love it now and will always love it.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo was done at the age of 17 in a sleazy tattoo shop near home, the artist didnt bother asking for Id simply asked what i wanted, when i told him i was after a heart which included a banner with family names he just asked for me to write them down whilst he set up. I was so excited and clueless at the time all i wanted to do was go home and show everyone, the family hated the fact that i had done it but didnt hate it, until i showed my brother and he pointed out that they had misspelt his name. I was so devastated and went back the next day, the artist just laughed and said-Yeah! it happens, but its ok i will fix it. He didnt, its an awful piece but i will never get it covered, as it reminds me where it all began, and after so many tattoos i always have a great giggle with the family when they ask to see my first tattoo.
My next tattoo
I just started a candy themed thigh piece, Sergi from Angelic Hell Tattoos in Brighton is doing it for me, and a few days ago started with the first piece which i absolutely love, its a gingerbread man and ots the most amazing design i have ever seen. The artist is as excited as i am about the piece and despite the amount of time t is going to take to complete we are both looking forward to the end result.
But in between i am having a pin up of my best friend tattoo on my left thigh, i am really excited to get it done, its my way of showing her how much i love her.
