Myself, in a sentence
I'm a twenty-something mother with a chaotically beautiful life.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
This is so hard to pick! My chestpiece is my favorite though. I see it the most and it holds a lot of meaning. I'm a widow, so the words "MAMA KNOWS BEST" give me a lot of strength in raising my daughter without her father. Owls are beautiful, and she has a monocle and an umbrella to signify her intelligence and preparedness. My favorite tattooist, Radar of Walk the Line, did it and he's done all of my most beautiful pieces.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo was on my 18th birthday and it is a traditional swallow on my left lower stomach. It's a symbol of freedom, in that I was free to get tattooed as heavily and frequently as I wanted from that day forward.
My next tattoo
I have two unfinished pieces to go first. My peacock thigh tattoo is still just the heavy black outline. My other thigh is an unfinished portrait of Uma Thurmon in Pulp Fiction. Other than those, I've drawn up a "reverse mermaid" that Brian Kindamo of American Classic will do. She's got a fish head and pin-up legs.
