Myself, in a sentence
All you need to know is my simple goal: to somehow combine my love of killing zombies with my love of yarn in a way that no one [but zombies] gets hurt.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
My favourite tattoo is definitely my leg tattoo. It's a 25" long red lace snake. It's head is along my upper thigh/butt, and it's body wraps down along the side of my leg ending on my mid calf. It's inspired by the character, Ms Medusa from the comic book "Wormwood" by Ben Templesmith. Ms Medusa is supernatural queen and owner of "The Dark Alley" Strip Club which houses and guards a dimensional gate. She has a similar tattoo on her body, however, I chose to have the snake skin texture replace with hand bobbined lace to represent my textile career.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo is a 4" italian rapier "tramp stamp." I had just turned 18 and made a pack with my collegiate fencing teammate to go get tattooed before the last practice of the year. We both committed to the event, and I had no issues making it through. My friend however, placed her image right along her spine with a lot of heavy lines, and the result was that she kept passing out. We never made it to the last practice, but I never regretted it.
My next tattoo
I'd like to bring the size and beauty of my leg tattoo into the first tattoo that I got when I was 18. I really liked the tiny italian rapier that I drew myself, as it represents my passion for fencing, [which I still actively do and teach], but I'd like the placement to be more dynamic. I plan to place the hilt at the base of my neck and having the grip span across my shoulders with the blade running down alone my spine.
