My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
My favorite tattoo is the one on my forearm. On September 18, 2011 I lost my best friend, my protector, my big brother. He had a heart disease and passed at only 25 years old. The tattoo is a cross that he would always draw all over everything, so I copied it exactly and put headphones draping over the cross because he LOVED music and to dance [he could bust a move for having a defensive line body type]. He had dreams of playing college football, but his health would not allow him to live out those dreams. His nickname was "Topher" so that is placed above his dates that I was blessed to share with him on earth. There is also a heart monitor with "Beat It" written underneath. The heart monitor is to represent his heart disease and the multiple heart attacks he survived, and also a play on his favorite artist, Michael Jackson. No matter where we went, bar or just shopping, he would bust out some MJ moves. The sound of the doctor's voice pronouncing my brother's death will never stop ringing in my ears. He saved my life on so many occasions, I just wish I had been able to save his.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
Hahaha well, I was about 15 when I got my first tattoo. I was doing a study abroad trip to France and Spain in high school and they gave us free time to roam the city. So, naturally, my friends and I head to nearest shop and get some piercings and tattoos.
My next tattoo
My next tattoo will be adding on to my sleeve for my brother. As goofy as it sounds, he was a full grown man with badass dance moves and a love for being a child at heart. Whenever I didn't feel good, I would sit in his room with him and watch Disney movies. He was always sick, but his kind heart would never let anyone see the pain that he felt every day. I want to add scenes from Aladdin and The Lion King on the outside of my forearm.
