Myself, in a sentence
I'm an open-minded, down to earth, fun-loving kind of girl.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
My favorite tattoo happens to be the word "Blackbird" written on my chest. This little word holds so much meaning dear to my heart. #1, When I see the word, I think of a label like "black sheep", someone who is different from the crowd, which is something I've felt about myself growing up. #2 Comes from the song "Bye Bye Blackbird", which is a song opposite of "House of the Rising Sun". It's a beautiful song about leaving your worries and troubles behind, and coming from a broken home, that's something I'm learning to do everyday. And #3, last but not least, from the song "Blackbird" by The Beatles, to me it means picking yourself up, broken wings and all, and doing what you want with your life!
My first tattoo and the story behind it
The first tattoo I ever got was at the age of 15. A close, older, girlfriend of mine was a tattoo apprentice at the time and eager to gain experience. I hooked her up with a killer hair do, and she tattooed two small swallows on my back. I managed to hide them from my mom for three years! Today I look back on them, knowing they’re not the best artwork, but it taught me that tattoo could be more than just that. They can hold memories, and good times from the past to look back on!
My next tattoo
I'm currently in the middle of a rather large back piece. I now have a big owl partially colored, and will soon be accompanied by a small nest with baby owls, and more background like tree branches, moon, etc... It's my biggest and most beautiful piece yet!
