Myself, in a sentence
I am an intensely passionate, outspoken, free spirited, sometimes-awkward nerd/jock combo with a craze for music, art, and all things that are beautiful.
My favorite tattoo and the story behind it
It's difficult for me to pick just one because all of my tattoos have a personal significance. The one that is the most sentimental, though, would have to be my pumpkin on my right arm. I got it for my dad, whose nickname for me [and always will be] Pumpkin. It seems fitting, then, that I also have a slight obsession with Halloween and the fall, so there are a lot of meanings behind my pumpkin.
My first tattoo and the story behind it
My first tattoo was actually a bluebird that I drew when I was sixteen. I waited until the day I turned 18 to get it and drove from Newport News, VA [where I was in school at the time] back home to Richmond first thing in the morning on my birthday. I got it and its mirror image placed on my back as kind of the "anti-tramp stamp." I still love them very much to this day and they still reign as the only tattoos I have on my back. The rest of the space I'm reserving for a large back piece one day.
My next tattoo
Once I finish my sleeve I have a couple tattoos I'm looking to get done. One of which is one of Sylvia Ji's Dia de los Muertos girls, and the other is an artistic freehand of a "freak magnet" that I'm letting my tattooist [Bexx Merritt at Loose Screw Tattoo in Richmond, VA] gfree reign to do as she pleases. That's how much I trust her as a tattoo artist; I know that I can let her do whatever she likes and I know not only will it be exactly what I want, it'll also be a million times better than I could have imagined.
