My first tattoo is my favorite. :] But here's the story again, in case you want to re-read it. I wanted a work of everlasting art to carry with me forever. My back piece contains lotus flowers to remind me of serenity and calm, cherry blossoms to mean that each moment is totally unique and can never be repeated, and clouds to symbolize the ever-changing world and that even as I grow and change, my soul will always adapt. I got this tattoo for all of these reasons after I developed pre-cancerous cells. I was able to get preventative treatment and avoided a battle with full-blown cancer. This opened my eyes and made me appreciate life and everything in it.
